Extracting Element Attributes.

I am trying to obtain an attribute value from a response message. I've
been using the exchange rate example and have understood what's
happening with the call-back.
I thought the attrs parameter in the call-back interface would provide
access to the current element attributes, but when I look at it with
debug it's all null pointers. What should it contain?
I found some other responses regarding %paddr(GetInnerDoc) but am a
little confused because it uses http_parse_xml_stmf. I thought it
would be easier to use a pointer to the string to search for the
desired attribute. After all the ds has a pointer to buf and a length?
I presume that that technique was when a program needs to obtain sub
elements in a particular branch?
I found http_parse_xml_string() in the httpapi_h file and that looks
like it uses the pointer, but now I don't know how to find the
attribute!
Should I be doing a scan of that string looking for the specific
attribute name and then obtaining the value?
Thanks again.
