RE: uploading source files with ftpapi

I uploaded my source members as previously described.  The RPGLE members
have numbers and letters in positions 1-5 that did not show in SEU.  When I
FTP those back to the AS/400, the characters show in positions 1-5 and
change my lines to "Data area" type lines.  Is there any way around this?

(If I view the original source in SEU and press F20, I see the same
characters.)
