Basically I want to call a web service that is on a windows server 2008,
passing an xml, and receiving another xml response.

I'm rather new to this technology as well, so I may not completely
understand your request, but see if

I'm using WSDL2RPG and HTTPAPI to access a web service.  It wasn't extremely
difficult and was the first web service I've used.
