Connie,

Go to soapUI.org and download the Open Source version of soapUI:

http://www.soapui.org/downloads/soapui/open-source.html

Then install soapUI on your PC and start the utility.

For your first project, follow these steps:

a) Create a new project: File -> New SOAP project
a.1) Fill in a project name of your choice
a.2) Fill in the URL of the WSDL
a.3) Click OK

You should get a new project similar to this one:

Foo Baa
   +---- ProfileSoap12
      +---- StatusRequest
            +---- Request 1

(The names are examples. No more, no less.)

b) Select an operation and fill in the parameters of the request message
b.1) Double click "Request 1" of a given operation, e.g. "StatusRequest" to open the message editor.
b.2) The request message is on the left-hand side of the editor. The response message will be shown on the right-hand side.
b.3) Replace the question marks (?) with your parameter values. If applicable, remove optional parameters.

Call the web service when you are done.

c) Call the web service
c.1) Click the green arrow at the top left corner of the request editor.
c.2) The result of the web service call should be displayed on the right-hand side.

Please notice the various buttons at the bottom of the soapUI window. The most important buttons are: "SoapUI log" and "http log"

Check the proxy settings at "File -> Preferences -> Proxy Settings" if you cannot connect to the Internet.

Hi,

Would it be possible for some help/information on SOAPUI, a Thomas Raddatz from the RPG/400 posting page advised me of this yesterday.

But I'm not sure how to get it to work/what to do etc.

I think this may help me in problems I'm having with Webservices and the HTTP_POST
